The DOL has recently released a new version of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) required notice to employees. As a reminder, employers who offer a group health insurance plan must distribute a CHIP Notice to employees annually to inform those employees of potential opportunities for premium tax credits.

The new Model CHIP Notice has information updated to include information for each state current as of July 31, 2021. Employers should replace their current CHIP notices with the updated one as soon as possible to ensure prompt compliance. You can download the updated CHIP Notice HERE.
