NYS DOL Releases Model Lactation Accommodation Poster

Earlier this month, we informed you of an imminent change to New York State’s lactation accommodation regulations made by the state’s Department of Labor. For more information on that change, including an analysis of individual requirements, please visit the original article here.

The DOL had promised in their guidance that it would provide employers a model lactation accommodation policy to assist in compliance with the new regulations. That model policy has been uploaded to the DOL’s website and is available for download here. Employers should replace their current lactation policy with the model one to ensure compliance with the newest regulations.
