In early February, the IRS created two new Codes for their 1095-C form, to allow employers to designate certain situations for their employees when offering the new Individual Coverage HRAs (ICHRAs). Should an employer offer an ICHRA, the employer may now use the following  codes on Line 14 of the 1095-C form:

- 1T can be used to indicate when an employee only (no dependents) is offered an ICHRA with the affordability calculation calculated using the employee’s primary residence.

- 1U can be used to indicate when an employee only (no dependents) is offered an ICHRA with the affordability calculation calculated using the employee’s primary employment site safe harbor.

As ICHRAs begin to be more widely implemented and refined, there may be more codes surrounding them for federal forms in the future. FNA Insurance Services, Inc. will keep current with any further 1095 changes and inform you as soon as further changes are made.
